History is important as it reveals and presents the present moment. To understand the EOC today, its history needs to be remembered and considered. What follows is an account of the history of the EOC. Some important years and events are highlighted. The longer text in each decade provides additional color to the unfolding story of the communion.

 

Worth noting is that others, no longer part of the EOC, have tried to write its history, often with a language that implies the EOC no longer exists. Obviously, that is not true.
