The EOC Mamre Prayer Centre is a church organized for spreading the good news word and sacrament trough spiritual nourishment, counselling, and skills education in Namugongo, Uganda. It is a part of the Evangelical Orthodox Church. Mamre Prayer Centre started on July 14th, 2016. It has multiplied as it responds to the needs of the community.  The church consists of over 3000 regularly attending members, who participate in communion and share their gifts and resources. There are currently 24 priests and six deacons serving in the church, some of whom minister to outposts of Mamre EOC prayer centre located in Kagumu, Kiriandongo & Mubende, Uganda. The monastic orders are also represented within the Mamre EOC diocese. The diocese is overseen by Bp. Jacinto Kibuuka (below) who was consecrated into the episcopate on November 12 - 2017. Currently, he is focusing much of his work on establishing an EOC seminary building to house the 20 seminarians as well as building a temporary sanctuary for his large congregation. The EOC Mamre Centre is fully engaged in many different areas of ministry, pastoral care, prayer and justice-related issues. For more information please visit: www.mamrecentre.org
